Celebrate Waterford’s 200th Anniversary!

Founded in 1816, the Town of Waterford is a special place and a proud community. Tomorrow – Saturday, April 16 – marks the first of several fun, public community events celebrating Waterford’s 200th Anniversary.

Please join me at Waterford’s “Founder’s Day Ceremony” which is being held tomorrow, 4 p.m., at the Waterford-Halfmoon School Auditorium, located at 125 Middletown Road, Waterford, NY. This special public ceremony will include musical selections from the Waterford-Halfmoon High School Band and Chorus. Following Saturday’s ceremony, there will be a reception at McGreivey’s Restaurant beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Town of Waterford’s 200th Anniversary is supported by a partnership of Waterford Town Supervisor John Lawler, the Waterford Town Board and the Waterford Bicentennial Committee.

I hope to see you tomorrow afternoon as we kick-off the celebration of Waterford’s 200th Anniversary!
