Help pets across our Capital District!

As part of “National Be Kind to Animals Week,” I’m proudly partnering with Columbia County Clerk Holly Tanner, Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola and Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner in sponsoring a Pet Food and Pet Supply Drive.

Some of the requested pet food and pet supply items being collected during our drive include: dog and cat beds; Purina dog food; Purina Complete cat food; Purina Kitten Chow; cat and dog plastic toys; tennis balls and Frisbees; hard rubber chew toys; kitty treats; milk bone dog treats and many other items.

To take part, simply drop off a pet food or pet supply item in a specially marked container located at the Columbia County, Rensselaer County or Saratoga County DMV offices. The addresses for those locations are:

• Columbia County DMV Office, located at 560 Warren Street in Hudson;

• Rensselaer County DMV Office, located at 1600 Seventh Avenue in Troy; and

• Saratoga County DMV Offices located at 40 McMaster Street in Ballston Spa; 22 Clifton Country Road, at the Clifton Park Center Mall in Clifton Park, and 3065 Route 50, at the Wilton Mall, in Saratoga Springs.

   

  In addition, you can also drop off pet food and pet supply items at my Halfmoon District Office, located at 1 Halfmoon Town Plaza, and my Hudson Office, which is located at 560 Warren Street, up on the 2nd Floor. Your donated item will be shared with a local animal shelter.
