Senator Parker Provides Free Citizenship Application Assistance To Residents In Central Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY (10/29/16) – On Saturday, October 29th State Senator Kevin Parker partnered with CUNY Citizenship NOW to provide FREE Citizenship Application Assistance to residents throughout Central Brooklyn. The event took place at the Flatbsush YMCA and was held in conjunction with New York State Assemblymembers Rodneyse Bichotte and New York City Councilman Jumaane D. Williams.
Over 100 families were able to gain assistance during the event, in addition they recieved one-on-one consultations with qualified immigration lawyers who were able to answer any questions constituents had in regards to their status and application process. Staff members from IDNY were present to provide identification cards to those in attendance.
“Applying for citizenship can be a very difficult process and expensive process. I thankful to CUNY Citizenship NOW now for their efforts and the support they provide to my constituents and those applying to for citizenship throughout New York City” said Senator Parker. I am proud to partner with them, as this is an initiative that brings many families together, concluded the Brooklyn lawmaker.
