Senator Nozzolio Honored By The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection

In recognition of his unwavering support of the tourism industry in the Finger Lakes Region, State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio was recently honored by the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection with the Ontario County Tourism Signature Legacy Award. The Visitors Connection chose Senator Nozzolio for their Signature Award for his many years of promoting all aspects of tourism in the Finger Lakes. The Legacy Awards honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions, demonstrated marketing or service excellence, or developed outstanding products for the tourism industry.
“It is an honor to receive this recognition and I commend the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection for their continued advocacy for our local tourism industry,” said Senator Nozzolio. “I look forward to working with the Visitors Connection to continue growing the tourism industry, which greatly contributes to the economy of the Finger Lakes Region.”
Throughout his tenure, Senator Nozzolio has tirelessly worked to promote all aspects of the tourism industry. From his dedication to promote the food and beverage industry to the development of our local wine trails and agri-tourism, Senator Nozzolio has been a strong proponent of tourism throughout the Finger Lakes Region. Senator Nozzolio was also instrumental in the creation of the Finger Lakes Viticulture Center, the Geneva Agriculture Technology Park, the Food Safety Institute and numerous other local venues furthering his dedication to the Finger Lakes Tourism Industry.
“The Finger Lakes wine and tourism industry has become a driving force in our local economy and that is why I led the effort to create the Finger Lakes Viticulture Center, which will serve as a permanent home for the Finger Lakes Community College Viticulture and Wine Technology Program - the only program of its kind in the Northeast United States,” said Senator Nozzolio.
