New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with National FFA Organization members Eli Corning, of Interlaken and Margot Miller of Lansing.
The mission of the FFA Organization, formally known as Future Farmers of America, is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The students discussed how vital it is to fund agriculture education programs in the New York State budget.
“Agriculture is the backbone of our economy, particularly in the Finger Lakes Region which makes it imperative for us to actively support our young people who are interested in joining and growing our agriculture industry,” said Senator Nozzolio. “It was a pleasure to meet with these outstanding students and to speak with them about the importance of agriculture education programs.”
