New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with representatives from libraries located throughout his senate district, during the annual Library Advocacy Day at the State Capitol. The group met with Senator Nozzolio to discuss matters affecting local libraries. In recognition of the Senator’s leadership on library issues, he was also presented with the “Ex Libris Award” from New Yorkers for Better Libraries.
“Our libraries provide countless opportunities for everyone in the community, from our children and families to adults and senior citizens,” said Senator Nozzolio. “There is no greater resource in our communities than the local library. We must continue to support our libraries in order to ensure that our children and future generations have the opportunity to learn and grow, make new discoveries, and achieve their greatest hopes and dreams,” Nozzolio concluded.
Representatives from libraries within the Finger Lakes Library System, Pioneer Library System, and Rochester Regional Library Council were present during the meeting.
