State Senator Patty Ritchie is announcing she has secured $7,500 for Oswego County CiTi, which will be used to enhance career readiness programs that will better prepare students for successful futures.
“To be successful in today’s world, it’s so important our young people, or those looking for a career change, gain the experience and skills that make them a good fit for employers,” said Senator Ritchie.
“I’m pleased to be able to deliver these funds, which are not only an investment in CiTi, but also an investment in the future success of local students.”
“At CiTi, our programs provide students with the real, hands-on experience they need to be successful in whatever field interests them the most,” said District Superintendent Christopher Todd.
“With programs ranging from automotive repair to nursing, we truly offer something for everyone. We couldn’t be more thankful for this funding secured by Senator Ritchie, which will strengthen our career readiness programs and make our students more successful when they venture out on their career paths.”
In addition to funds she secured for CiTi’s career readiness programs, Senator Ritchie also recently delivered $10,000 for CiTi’s culinary program. Using the funds, students were afforded a hands-on learning experience where they were able to prepare and serve lunch to thousands of people at Senator Ritchie’s Senior Health and Wellness Fairs in Oswego and Jefferson Counties.
