Senator Patty Ritchie recently took part in the groundbreaking for the construction of two, 800-ton grain bins at the Port of Ogdensburg, a project that will help boost international trading, increase efficiency, preserve jobs and strengthen agriculture.
Senator Ritchie helped secure funding for the grain bins, feeder elevator, conveyors, rail unloading facility and truck loading area that will help the Port expand its role as an international exporter of agricultural products. While the project was originally slated to begin next year, the state moved the start date up to 2016 at the Senator’s request.
