State Senator Patty Ritchie this week joined colleagues at a press conference to build support for bipartisan legislation that would ensure schools in small cities receive their fair share of state education dollars. Senator Ritchie is a sponsor of the measure (S.4988-B), along with Senator Joe Griffo, Senator Sue Serino and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, who are also pictured in the attached photo.
In addition to calling for more funds for small city school districts—like the Watertown, Oswego, Fulton and Ogdensburg City School Districts—Senator Ritchie has also made it a priority to ensure fair school aid funding for all districts in the rural region she represents.
