May 31, 2016
State Senator Patty Ritchie has announced she has secured $75,000 in special funding to assist the Heuvelton Central School District with upgrades to its Poulton Auditorium.
“From plays and concerts to things like graduations and meetings, Heuvelton Central School’s auditorium isn’t just a center of the school community—it’s a center of the overall community,” said Senator Ritchie.
“I am pleased to have secured this funding, which will improve the auditorium for all the students, educators, families and community members who use it.”
“At Heuvelton, our auditorium is more than just an auditorium—it’s a place where students gain new experiences that help them to learn and grow,” said Heuvelton Central School District Superintendent Susan Todd.
“We can’t thank Senator Ritchie enough for her support, which has made possible these very important, much-needed upgrades.”
Upgrades to the Poulton Auditorium include the purchase of a new sound system, as well as renovations.
Final release of funds is subject to state approval.
