Now Hear This: Murphy's grant for new sound system at Lakeland HS
August 26, 2016
SHRUB OAK, NY - With the fall football and soccer season on the horizon, Senator Terrence Murphy presented Lakeland High School with a $40,000 grant toward a new outdoor sound system. The funds were used to purchase a state-of-the-art press box sound system. The new system replaces the school's previous venerable but outdated sound system, which was unreliable and a noisy nuisance for homeowners in the neighborhood.
"This much needed replacement system demonstrates Lakeland High School's commitment to its supporters, students, and coaching staff," said Senator Murphy. "It can be used for concerts and other special events and will provide enjoyment for many years to come. I look forward to hearing this year's scores announced on the new system!"
