Brentwood, NY – Senator Tom Croci hosted his second annual Black History Ceremony. The event was to mark Black History Month and honored several outstanding individuals in the 3rd Senate district, including: Ms. Joann Neal; Ms. Florence Joyner; Ms. Jacqueline Martin; Ms. Juanita Samuels; Mr. Matthew Moore; Reverend Lawrence Mosley, Jr., and the event’s keynote speaker, Dr. Jennie Williams from Stony Brook School of Medicine.
"One of the best parts of getting to represent the 3rd district in the state Senate is the opportunity to shine the light on the outstanding people serving our communities," stated Senator Croci. "It was my privilege to highlight our Black History Month honorees, whose selfless dedication to everyone from underprivileged youth to those battling cancer, have left such a strong and positive impact in their communities."
The Bellport Boys and Girls Club Steel Drum Band and the 3-D Dance Studio provided the event’s entertainment for the evening.
