Corning, N.Y.—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) today reminded area residents they will hold two community meetings in Steuben County on Wednesday, January 27th.
In a joint statement, O’Mara and Palmesano said, “We hope our constituents will continue to take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to this year’s challenges and debates over taxes, regulations, mandates, economic development, health care, education, and so many other key issues. Community meetings offer the kind of direct give and take that’s fundamental to effective government.”
They said that the meetings, which began last fall throughout the region, are informal and open to the public to give local residents an opportunity to directly share their concerns, opinions and suggestions for better government.
On Wednesday, O’Mara and Palmesano will hold the following meetings in Steuben County:
> Urbana Town Hall (8014 Pleasant Valley Road, Hammondsport) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and
> Corning City Hall (1 Nasser Civic Center Plaza) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The legislators stressed that any local residents unable to attend a meeting can contact them directly to share specific concerns and suggestions.
