State Senate Finance Committee releases analysis of Governor Cuomo's 2016-17 proposed state budget ~ Legislative budget hearings continue next week

The New York State Senate Finance Committee has released its analysis of Governor Andrew Cuomo's 2016-17 state budget proposal.

Senator O'Mara, a member of the Finance Committee, said that the Legislature's public hearings on the Cuomo plan, which began yesterday, will continue next week with hearings to examine Health/Medicaid, Local Government, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Environmental Conservation. At yesterday's hearing on transportation, Senator O'Mara questioned Department of Transportation Commissioner Matthew Driscoll on several issues, includiing funding for local roads and bridges, and the utilization of the state's Dedicated Highway and Bridge Trust Fund.
