(Albany, New York) – Senator Todd Kaminsky spoke passionately on the Senate floor in favor of his resolution commemorating Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, and reinforced the close bond New York State shares with Israel and its people. Kaminsky’s resolution was sponsored in the Assembly by Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, the first Israeli-born member of the state legislature.
“Israel is a world leader in technology, medicine and innovation, and a stronghold of democracy in the face of constant terror," said Senator Kaminsky. “I am honored to sponsor this Senate resolution, reaffirming New York’s bond with Israel and its citizens, and congratulating Israel on 68 years of independence, freedom and advancements.”
Senator Kaminsky is a steadfast supporter of Israel. In December, he led a delegation of his colleagues on a mission to the Jewish state, and recently sponsored a bill to ban companies that boycott Israel and participate in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) movement from doing business with New York State.
