Queens, NY – On Sunday, November 20th, State Senator Tony Avella will be holding mobile office hours at the Hillcrest Jewish Center. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, residents of Jamaica Estates and the surrounding neighborhoods can meet with Senator Avella and his staff to discuss any concerns they may have.
The November event will be Senator Avella’s sixth and final mobile office of the year. At the previous mobile offices, constituents have brought up concerns about bioswales, the need for a full-service supermarket in Whitestone, and the lack of proper traffic controls in the district. Which have all either been addressed or are in the process of being addressed.
In a mailer sent to constituents inviting them to the mobile office hours, Senator Avella said, “my staff and I will be available to meet with you to discuss any thoughts or concerns you may have.” Senator Avella concluded the invite by saying, “I look forward to meeting you and continuing to work together to improve our community.
Hillcrest Jewish Center is located at 183-02 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows.
