NYS Commissioner of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Roger Parrino Joins Senator Young to Gather Input, Survey Flood-Prone Areas in 57th Senate District

Olean, New York -- Roger Parrino, New York State’s Commissioner of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, joined Senator Catharine Young this week to tour locations in the 57th Senate District and meet with local officials regarding water infrastructure and flooding issues in several communities. The listening tour included discussion and site visits related to water system improvements in Dunkirk and flooding issues and flood control efforts in Silver Creek and Gowanda. Senator Young secured $6.9 million in the 2017-18 state budget to assist municipalities in the district with the costs related to the severe flooding that occurred in July 2015.
