Senator Elaine Phillips recently attended the Port Washington Union Free School District’s 4th annual Unity Day, which brings students and faculty together and sends a message of solidarity and standing up to bullying.
“It was truly an honor to attend Unity Day and stand in solidarity with the Port Washington students and administrators against bullying,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “Thank you to Karen Sloan and Stephanie Joannon for creating this inspiring event and to Superintendent Kathleen Mooney and the Board of Education for supporting it throughout the school district. We must work to ensure that every child is safe and that our classrooms are bully free environments where students can focus on learning and their educations.”
