Senator Elaine Phillips Attends Surprise Renaming Ceremony At The Hicksville Water District Plant To Honor Water Commissioner Nicholas J. Brigandi

Senator Elaine Phillips recently attended a surprise renaming ceremony at the Hicksville Water District Plant that honored Water Commissioner Nicholas J. Brigandi.
“In times like these, when Long Island is facing a crisis with its water, I am proud to know we have people like Nicholas Brigandi working to provide top-notch service to our community,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “His diligent work, coupled with his desire to continue advancing technologies utilized by the water district, has been extraordinary. Thank you Commissioner Brigandi for your many years of service to the local community.”
The Hicksville Water District renamed Plant 5 the “Nicholas J. Brigandi Water Treatment Facility.”
Commissioner Brigandi began serving on the Board of Water Commissioners in 1980, and has always made it his mission to ensure that each plant site is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern technology.
