Senator Elaine Phillips Kicks Off Donation Drive For Homeless Veterans

Senator Elaine Phillips announced today a collection drive to assist local homeless veterans in need.
Senator Phillips is collecting goods at her Mineola Office, which will be distributed to local homeless veterans in need at the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency’s “Veterans Stand Down” event in Freeport on Tuesday, November 21.
“As Americans, we have no greater obligation than to honor and thank our veterans for their service to our Nation,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “To show gratitude and appreciation for our veterans’ sacrifices, I am hosting a donation drive to collect cold weather items, food and gift certificates. Any donations to assist our veterans would be greatly appreciated.”
Needed Items Include:
Cold Weather Items: Coats, Hats, Scarves, Gloves, Socks, Blankets (New clothing is preferred but very gently used clothing will be accepted.)
