Senator Elaine Phillips was recently invited to meet with the Manhasset High School Feminism Club to discuss the importance of leadership, community involvement and women in government.
“Organizations such as the Manhasset High School Feminism Club are paramount for not only giving students a voice, but for raising awareness, encouraging leadership and empowering young women,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “As a woman, and mother of three daughters, I understand the importance of ensuring women continue to have equal opportunities across the spectrum, including the political arena. I applaud all of the students for taking an interest in local and state government and for working to create equality for women.”
