Senator Elaine Phillips today announced she has secured a $100,000 State and Municipal (SAM) Grant for the Manhasset School District. The funding will help the school district offset capital improvement costs to provide further educational opportunities for students.
“A safe and healthy learning environment is a vital component to a good education,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “This funding will help the Manhasset School District offset capital improvement costs to continue to provide students with world-class educational opportunities.”
“We are so appreciative for the efforts of State Senator Phillips,” Manhasset Schools Superintendent Vincent Butera said. “When we met for the first time in July, Senator Phillips made a commitment to support our school district and community. This grant reflects that commitment. We are so thankful for her continued support in allowing us to continue to enhance our school district.”
