Senator Phillips & Albertson Square Civic Association Members Discuss Issues
February 24, 2017
Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) attended a recent meeting of the Albertson Square Civic Association to talk about the issues with local residents.
Senator Phillips and the members discussed the State Budget, the need for continued fiscal discipline at the state level and the restoration of Nassau County’s Senior Citizen Property Tax Abatement program, which helped eligible senior citizens save money on their property taxes. Senator Phillips sponsored legislation, which the State Senate passed, that would give Nassau County the authority it needs to restore the program, which expired at the end of last year.
