Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will be sponsoring a free memory screening program on Tuesday, July 18th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Great Neck Library-Main Building (159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck).
Screenings consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills. The memory screening takes approximately 10 minutes and is confidential. Participants will be provided with the results on-site. Results are not a diagnosis, but a memory screening can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
The program is free of charge and open to all residents of Senator Phillips’ Senate district, however appointments are required and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
Residents wishing to get a free memory screening on July 18th can schedule an appointment by calling Senator Phillips’ office at 516-746-5924.
