Senator Phillips Honors Manhasset “Scholars” For Earning National Recognition in Regeneron Science Competition

     Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently honored Manhasset High School students for earning national recognition in the country’s oldest high school science competition.

     Manhasset High School students Riya Gilja, Michael Lee and Parker Van Roy were each named “scholars” as first round winners in the Regeneron Science Talent Search.  Riya, Michael and Parker were three of only 300 students from across the country to earn the honor.

     Senator Phillips sponsored legislative resolutions, which were passed by the Senate, recognizing the students’ achievement.  With passage of the resolutions, their names and accomplishment will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
