Senator Phillips Honors Roslyn High School Student On Being Named National “Scholar”

Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently honored Roslyn High School student Yena Kim for earning national recognition in the country’s oldest high school science competition.

Yena was named a “scholar” as a first round winner in the Regeneron Science Talent Search.  She was one of only 300 students nationwide who achieved that honor.

Senator Phillips sponsored a legislative resolution, which was passed by the Senate, recognizing Yena’s achievement.  With passage of the resolution, Yena’s name and accomplishment will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
