Senator Phillips Participates in Drexel Avenue School’s Career Day

     Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently participated in Career Day at Drexel Avenue School in Westbury.

     Senator Phillips spoke with students in Ms. Liotta and Ms. Simeone’s second grade students about her job and responsibilities as a New York State Senator, what drew her to public service, and her prior work experience as a Village Mayor and financial services professional.  She also answered the students’ questions about her background, the legislative process and how ideas are turned into laws.
