Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently visited Searingtown Elementary School in the Herricks School District to serve as a guest reader to Ms. Deirdre Bambrck’s second grade class.
Senator Phillips read “If I Were President” by Catherine Stier and DyAnn DiSalvo-Ryan to the students. The book helps children learn about the presidency and government, what their responsibilities are and some of the day to day tasks a President must deal with.
