Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently welcomed student musicians from the Elmont School District to the State Capitol in Albany.
The students, who were from Covert Avenue, Gotham Avenue and Clara H. Carlson Elementary Schools, performed a concert in the Empire State Plaza as part of the New York State School Music Association’s annual Music in Our Schools Month.
Senator Phillips attended the performance, gave the students a tour of the Senate Chambers and met with them to answer questions.
