Standing Room Only at Sen. Fred Akshar's “Face Time With Fred” Town Hall Meetings in Maine and Candor

On Saturday, March 18th, over 120 community members turned out for Senator Fred Akshar's Town Hall Meeting at the Town of Maine Town Hall and over 70 attended his meeting in the Town of Candor. Discussion covered a wide range of issues, including taxes, job growth, economic development, abortion rights, gun control, natural gas drilling, health care and more. 

“It's inspiring to see so many people in our community actively engaged with their government,” said Sen. Fred Akshar. “Thank you to all the folks who came and allowed me to listen to their concerns. It's the best way for me to properly represent the people of the 52nd District.”
Akshar has held five "Face Time With Fred" Town Hall Meetings this year (Greene, Hancock, Windsor, Maine and Candor), with three more planned for the coming months in locations across the 52nd Senate District.
