Statement From Senator Amedore on Budget Extender

Today, I voted to approve a temporary budget extender to ensure that essential services for the most vulnerable members of our population continue to be provided and critical operations of the state will continue in the absence of an agreed-upon state budget.

It’s shameful that the Governor and Assembly allowed politics to dominate the discussion and shift the focus from where it should have been -- delivering a fiscally responsible budget that provides relief for our taxpayers and helps make New York more affordable for everyone.
