Senator Jamaal T. Bailey’s District Office Grand Opening

(BRONX, NY) Senator Jamaal T. Bailey hosted his district office grand opening first with the help of Fidelis Care, the Morris Heights Health Center, and the Tru 31 motorcycle group. The event took place at the District Office, which is located on 959 E 233rd Street on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. 

The 47th precinct NYPD explorers kicked off the celebration with the color guard ceremony and the leading the community in the pledge of allegiance. Following the pledge of allegiance, office intern Jariah Rodriguez sang the national anthem.

Senator Bailey was joined by many of his colleagues in government including, Assembly Speaker Carl T. Heastie, Former State Senator Ruth Hassell- Thompson, NYC Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, Congressman Adriano Espaillat, State Senator Brian Benjamin, State Senator Kevin Parker, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Williams, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, Assemblyman Victor Pichardo, Councilman Andy King, Councilman Ritchie Torres, Mount Vernon Councilwoman Lisa Copeland.

As a freshman senator, Senator Bailey was able to pass five bills during his first term. The five bills ranged from providing aid to crime victims, to establishing employee owned business in the state. In addition to the main district office, Senator Bailey has also opened satellite offices in Mount Vernon at the Doles Center, in Norwood at the Montifiore Community Center, and we are currently in the process of opening our Co-op City office, which will be a total of five offices.
