Sanders, Queens Elected Officials, Today Kicked Off Senior Appreciation Month

Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village) joined other elected officials to kick off Senior Appreciation Month with a press conference today in the gym at the Roy Wilkins Park Recreational Center.
This year the packed calendar of events for the annual celebration will include: movie screenings, senior breakfasts, bowling, concerts, fitness classes and more.
Senator Sanders is hosting a free movie screening of "Fences" tomorrow (9/7/17) at the Jamaica Multiplex. If you would like to attend, please pick up your tickets today before 5 p.m. at Senator Sanders' District Office, which is located at 142-01 Rockaway Boulevard in South Ozone Park, or tomorrow (9/8/17) at the movie theater sign-in table. Other Queens elected officials taking park in the festivities are: Congressman Gregory Meeks, State Senator Leroy Comrie, City Council members Donovan Richards, Daneek Miller and Barry Grodenchik, and State Assembly members Vivian Cook, Michele Titus, David Weprin, Rory Lancman, Alicia Hyndman and Clyde Vanel.
