Senator Sanders' Statement on Bomb Explosion Victim in Springfield Gardens
August 3, 2017
State Senator James Sanders said: “I am deeply saddened and disturbed by the death of George Wray. This 73-year-old man was severely burned after he opened a package containing a bomb, which was left on his doorstop. It has been reported that Mr. Wray was not the intended target of the attack. Either way, this a senseless and cowardly act and those responsible need to be arrested and brought to justice. My deepest condolences go out to Mr. Wray’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
