Tedisco, NYS Senate Honors State Wrestling Champion Tyler Barnes from Ballston Spa High School

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I, REF-Glenville) today honored the New York State Public High School Athletic Association 170-Pound Division 1 State Wrestling Champion Tyler Barnes, a junior at Ballston Spa High School, and presented him with a copy of a resolution he sponsored that unanimously passed the New York State Senate. 

This is Ballston Spa’s first state championship in wrestling. Barnes won the state title in wrestling on February 25^th at the Times Union Center in Albany with a 5-2 win over number three-seeded John Glenn High School from Elwood, Long Island in the 170-pound Division 1 finale. Tyler’s father, Terry Barnes, was the runner up for Ballston Spa in the state finals in 1995.
