RETURN THE FAVOR CARD 

RETURN THE FAVOR is a merchant discount program for local Veterans. The program provides Veterans with a special identification card for certain discounts on purchases or services at participating local businesses. Any honorably discharged Veteran can enroll in the program through the County Clerk’s Office with his or her discharge or DD- 214 papers.
 

NEW YORK STATE MILITARY MEDALS

If you are a Veteran honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces, you may still apply for a New York State Conspicuous Service Cross, Conspicuous Service Star or Medal for Merit, if you have not already done so. Eligibility requirements and links to applications for each medal are listed on my Senate website. Please call my office at (315) 428-7632 if you would like to receive a hard copy of an application in the mail.  

 
NEW LICENSE PLATES 

Starting February 2018, Veterans who are Conspicuous Service Cross recipients will be eligible to obtain new distinctive license plates. Any Conspicuous Service Cross recipient residing in New York state, or the spouse of any such recipient shall, upon request, be issued a license plate bearing the words "Conspicuous Service Cross Recipient". The Department of Motor Vehicles will update its website accordingly at https://dmv.ny.gov/org/custom-plates/military-and-veterans.
