John E. Brooks Sworn In as Senator for New York's 8th District

(Albany, New York) – This morning, John E. Brooks was sworn in as Senator for New York’s 8th Senate District following a grueling, hard fought election won by hand-counted votes. Brooks took the oath of office surrounded by his new Senate colleagues.
Senator John Brooks said, “Serving the needs of my constituents and being accessible to them is my number one priority. I look forward to hearing their concerns and putting that into action in Albany. I will always fight to end corruption in Government, will stand up for quality education for all students, and will work to make Long Island a more affordable place to raise a family.”
Senator Brooks will host an In-district Swearing Ceremony on Friday, January 6th, 4pm, at Seaford High School.
Senator Brooks represents the South Shore of Eastern Nassau and Western Suffolk counties of Long Island, including Freeport, Merrick, Roosevelt, Bellmore, Wantagh, Jones Beach Island, Seaford, East Massapequa, Massapequa, Amityville, East Farmingdale, Wyandanch and Lindenhurst.
