January 27, 2017
(Freeport, NY)- Senator John E. Brooks (SD-8) met with Freeport residents at the Freeport Memorial Library to kick off his first of a series of “Listening Tours.” The purpose of the listening tours are for Sen. Brooks’ to hear his constituent’s ideas, concerns and to answer any questions they may have.
“It is critical that I hear the concerns people have in the community. What they have to say will help me to create my legislative goals and set an agenda on how to better serve the community. I made a promise to cut property taxes, fund education, and end corruption in government, and I am working towards that goal. I am excited to continue the listening tour in other communities in my district. Only together, can we make real changes and better each and every neighborhood on Long Island,” stated Senator Brooks.
