Senator Serrano met with his constituents at the Roosevelt Island New York Public Library (NYPL) for his Roosevelt Island Constituent Services Hours. The Senator provides off-site constituent services hours each day (except Fridays) in various neighborhoods throughout the 29th Senate district, which covers the South and West Bronx, East Harlem, Yorkville, Roosevelt Island and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. His office sets up a table at local libraries, senior centers, government offices and other various locations in the community, ready to discuss your issues and concerns.
After meeting with constituents at the library, Senator Serrano joined Assembly Member Seawright in co-sponsoring an important information session/town hall regarding the brand new NYC Ferry service on Roosevelt Island. The route connects Astoria, Roosevelt Island, Long Island City, East 34th Street and Wall St./Pier 11 and will depart from Roosevelt Island approximately every 25 minutes.
“I always enjoy speaking directly with constituents and being with my colleagues on Roosevelt Island. It was a pleasure attending our regularly scheduled off-site Constituent Hours at the Roosevelt Island Branch Library, and later in the day I was happy to co-sponsor a Town Hall/Information Session for the new NYC Ferry service that is set to start on Roosevelt Island. This new ferry service will provide a much needed additional form of transportation for island residents. Many thanks to the The New York Public Library for hosting our constituent hours at their Roosevelt Island location, and giving us the opportunity to better connect with our constituents on the island. A big thank you to my friend Assembly Member Rebecca A. Seawright for organizing the important NYC Ferry info meeting.”
