Recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October 5, 2017
The Rochester/Monroe County Domestic Violence Consortium, Domestic Violence Advocacy groups and law enforcement officials came together today to recognize the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Over the last several years, I have sponsored and supported legislation in the State Senate to further protect victims of domestic violence and increase penalties against abusers. We can stamp out this terrible crime by working together and continuing to raise awareness.
