Senator Kevin Parker Joins UNCF For Their 2nd Annual 5k Walk/Run for Education

Brooklyn, NY (8/28/17)- On Saturday August 26th, State Senator Kevin Parker joined the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) for their 2nd Annual 5k Walk/Run for Education at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is an organization that has been helping college bound African American students attend and graduate from college for the past 73 years. UNCF’s mission is to develop students into well established leaders and qualified college graduates. UNCF’s Walk/ Run for Education event is helping this mission become a reality through community support and monetary donations.
“Education is truly the key to success and I am very passionate about supporting UNCF in their mission to assist college bound African American students. I was proud to be apart of such a positive event that encourages the community be engaged and make donations that will assist with the academic success of our scholars”, concluded the Brooklyn lawmaker.

About Senator Kevin Parker
Senator Kevin S. Parker is intimately familiar with the needs of his ethnically diverse Brooklyn district comprised of sections of Flatbush, East Flatbush, Midwood, Ditmas Park, Kensington, Windsor Terrace, and Park Slope.
