WHAT:
NYS Senator Leroy Comrie, Assembly Members Clyde Vanel, Alicia Hyndman, and David Weprin, and Council Member I. Daneek Miller are collectively organizing to deliver much needed assistance to the families of those who were lost in the house fire in Queens Village last week. The elected leaders will accept donations of clothing, toiletries, and household goods for distribution to those who have been displaced or whose belongings were destroyed by the fire. At this time, food and furniture is not needed.
Monetary donations to benefit the victims and their families are being accepted in partnership with ATU Local 1056 through an authorized GoFundMe page, which can be accessed at https://www.gofundme.com/All-victims-of-QV-House-Fire. ATU Local 1056, of which the patriarch of the Green family is a retired member, will manage these proceeds.
