FARMINGTON – Senator Pam Helming visited Leonard’s Express, a family-owned transportation company headquartered in Farmington. She presented company officials with a proclamation to pay tribute to the recent achievement of Leonard’s Express as the 2017 ETHIE Award recipient. This honor, given by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation, recognizes businesses and organizations that strive to promote ethical principles in their operations. Following the presentation, Senator Helming and company officials discussed economic development and workforce training as these issues relate to the trucking industry as a whole.
“It is always a pleasure to recognize businesses that are creating jobs and growing the economy throughout our region and our state. It is even more fantastic to honor businesses that treat their customers fairly and run their operations honestly. Congratulations to CEO Ken Johnson, CFO Kyle Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer Michael Riccio, and the entire Leonard’s Express team on this outstanding achievement,” Senator Helming said.
Senator Helming represents the 54th Senate District, which consists of Seneca and Wayne Counties, parts of Cayuga and Ontario Counties, and the towns of Lansing and Webster. For more information, please visit Senator Helming’s website, or follow @SenatorHelming on Facebook or Twitter.
