Sen. Helming Joins Four Towns for Intermunicipal Water Project Groundbreaking

Senator Pamela A. Helming (R,C,I-Canandaigua) joined area Town Supervisors Norman Reed, Mark Venuti, Gary Westfall, and Greg Wadhams, as well as Assemblyman Brian Kolb, former State Senator Michael Nozzolio, and representatives of the MRB Group to break ground today on a collaborative water infrastructure project in the 54^th Senate District. This inter-municipal water expansion will utilize the success of shared services between the four towns of Phelps, Geneva, Waterloo and Junius, as well as the Village of Waterloo that will supply the water.

“This is project is a fantastic example of the great things that are possible when we work together for the betterment of our community – an estimated $2.5 million in combined savings to the four towns and their residents – and accomplishes the inter-municipal goal of shared services and municipal consolidation. Upon completion, this project will ultimately serve as a catalyst for economic growth, attracting new business and investment to our area, spurring job creation, and generating much-needed revenue for these towns. Congratulations to all those who were involved in helping bring this exciting project to fruition. I look forward to continuing to serve as a partner on this project and future projects alike,” Senator Helming said.
