Senator Helming Helps Recognize ‘Superstars of Summer Reading’ in Palmyra

Senator Pamela A. Helming (R,C,I-Canandaigua) joined Pioneer Library System Executive Director Lauren Moore and Palmyra Community Library Director Patricia Baynes at the Palmyra Community Library Thursday, Aug. 31 to present certificates of recognition to the superstars of summer reading in Ontario and Wayne Counties.
“This ceremony was an incredible opportunity to recognize all of the young children who participated in the 2017 Pioneer Library System Summer Reading Program. With a focus on literacy, this program helps engage children and families in reading and reading-related activities during the summer months. I want to congratulate all the kids from around Ontario and Wayne County who completed this year’s program. A special thank you to all the supportive parents and families in attendance and also Lauren Moore for her leadership on behalf of libraries across the district,” Senator Helming said.
