Senator Pamela A. Helming (R,C,I-Canandaigua) is pleased to announce that she will sponsor the upcoming Newark Pilots game against the Amsterdam Mohawks. This contest marks the final regular season game for the Pilots, and it will be called Pam Helming Night.
The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League matchup will start at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Colburn Park, 1160 E. Union St., Newark. As part of Senator Helming’s sponsorship of the game, the first 250 people at the stadium will receive free tickets into the game. Also, Newark Reds varsity baseball player Ben Cowles, the Finger Lakes East Player of the Year, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
“I appreciate the opportunity from the Newark Pilots to sponsor this game at Colburn Park, the last regular season contest for one of two Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League teams in the 54th District. I look forward to watching a great game as well as honoring a talented athlete from our region. The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League showcases college-level players honing their skills in the summertime to advance their athletic careers, so it is a great time to also feature Ben Cowles. I am happy to be a part of this occasion,” Senator Helming said.
Senator Helming represents the 54th Senate District, which consists of Seneca and Wayne Counties, parts of Cayuga and Ontario Counties, and the towns of Lansing and Webster. For more information, please visit Senator Helming’s website, or follow @SenatorHelming on Facebook or Twitter.
