Senator Pam Helming was recognized as the guest of honor at this year’s Wayne County Action Program (CAP) annual gala on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Brookwoods Country Club in Ontario. Each year, Wayne CAP recognizes an outstanding citizen for their contribution and service to the community. The master of ceremonies this year was Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, and invited speakers included Assemblyman Bob Oaks, Wayne County Cornell Cooperative Extension Executive Director Beth Claypoole, and Lyons Town Supervisor Brian Manktelow.
“It was a privilege to be recognized as this year’s guest of honor at the Wayne County Action Program’s annual gala. They provide important services to the less fortunate in our community. The work that their staff and volunteers do truly helps to make our community a better place. I look forward to continuing to partner with Wayne CAP to make our community stronger and ensure that local families have the resources they need to improve their lives,” Senator Helming said.
Senator Helming represents the 54th Senate District, which consists of Seneca and Wayne Counties, parts of Cayuga and Ontario Counties, and the towns of Lansing and Webster. For more information, please visit Senator Helming’s website, or follow @SenatorHelming on Facebook or Twitter.
