Ritchie Announces Free Bus Rides for Jefferson County Senior Health and Wellness Fair

Senator Patty Ritchie is pleased to announce that Jefferson County residents will, once again, be able to take advantage of free bus rides—to and from—her upcoming Senior Health and Wellness Fair in Watertown.

The fair will take place at Jefferson Community College’s McVean Student Center, located at 1220 Coffeen Street in Watertown on Friday, October 6th.

The free event—which runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—will feature over 50 exhibitors offering seniors health tips, wellness checks and free flu shots (available with Medicare or insurance ID). Attendees are also invited to enjoy entertainment and a free lunch, prepared by ‘future chefs’ from Oswego County CiTi BOCES.

“The road to a healthy, active life is a long one. Those looking to take that journey first need access to the experts who can provide the tools and tips they need,” Senator Ritchie said. “By providing this transportation—at no cost—every senior who wants to take that step, by coming to my Senior Health and Wellness Fair, can do so. I can’t wait to see everyone there.”
