State Senator Patty Ritchie recently joined New York State officials, the Fulton Housing Authority, community leaders and Emery Grove residents to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Emery Grove Apartment Complex in Fulton.

Senator Ritchie successfully advocated for the Fulton Housing Authority to receive funding for the project, spearheaded by Fulton Housing Authority Deputy Executive Director Holly Carpenter.

The apartments, originally built in 1968, were upgraded to offer 95 quality, affordable apartments—including 40 specifically for seniors. Work on the family units included plumbing, electrical, gas, subfloors, framing, wiring and more. The senior homes received new ventilation and air conditioning, a renovated elevator, washer/dryer hookups, energy efficient lights, appliances and boilers and a community room.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Senator Ritchie thanked all involved in the project for recognizing the importance of providing quality, safe and affordable housing for tenants.
