Statement from New York State Senator Rich Funke

Following the New York State Senate’s unanimous passage of S6639A, a bill to ensure that American produced materials are given preference on state sponsored procurements, Senator Rich Funke issued the following statement:

“I am proud the Senate today passed bipartisan legislation to protect American jobs by prioritizing American made products in the state procurement process. Delivering a Buy American package was a top priority of mine this year and working together we were able to secure a win for the American worker before the close of the Legislative Session. At a time when we need more good-paying jobs for hard-working Americans, this is a common-sense way to ensure our tax dollars stay here to support our friends, neighbors and fellow Americans at home.”
